EB-5 Employment Creation Green Card US

Foreign nationals who make a substantial investment in a new commercial venture can come to the United States to live and work in conditional resident status, which can lead to permanent residence. The amount of capital, in some instances, can be as low as US$500,000, but, usually, must be at least US$1,000,000.

The investment must be in a new commercial business that employs at least ten US workers or authorized immigrant workers in full-time employment. The applicant must be engaged in the business full-time and must be involved in the actual day-to-day management of the business.

Employment Creation (Eb-5) Green Card Basic Requirements

The Employment Creation category mandates that an applicant must invest a minimum of $1,000,000 in a new and profitable business venture operation. The new commercial enterprise must employ at least ten (10) US citizens or Green Card holders on a full-time basis. In addition, the applicant must engage in the day-to-day operations of the business. Also, the applicant will be subject to health and character requirements.

Employment Creation (Eb-5) Green Card Entitlements

If the applicant is approved for a Green Card under the Employment Creation category, the applicant will receive conditional residence in the US. Once the condition is removed after two years, the applicant will then receive a permanent US Green Card.

The Employment Creation category allows applicants to obtain a US Green Card. In addition, the applicant's spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21 who wish to accompany the applicant to the US may also obtain a Green Card.

Obtaining permanent residence in the US allows residents to take advantage of exceptional benefits. They may travel to and from the United States with few limitations, study and work in the US without any limitations, sponsor their close family members and apply for US citizenship when eligible to do so.
