UK Entrepreneur Visa

Tier -1 (Entrepreneur)

The Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) category is for those investing in the United Kingdom by setting up or taking over, and being actively involved in the running of one or more businesses in the United Kingdom. It is for those people who have enough money and are educated.

Requirements:

• Min 200,000 GBP available in bank account in Pakistan for last 3 months (Investment amount i.e. to do business with in the UK)
• IELTS 7 bands in each of the four modules OR Bachelor (Hons) Degree or above taught entirely in English.
• Min 400,000 PKR available as for maintenance (Living expense). To be available in Bank.

First visa is issued is for 3 years and four months which can be extended for 2 years more. On completing this, the applicant may apply for permanent residence in the UK which is possible to obtain on meeting certain requirements.

It is not possible to get this Entrepreneur Visa and NOT live in the UK OR NOT do business in the UK rather it is a condition to live there and do business there with proper required registration with UK authorities otherwise it may not be extended.

Procedure

The procedure of obtaining nd maintaining residence in the UK under TIER-1 (Entrepreneur) Visa the applicant has to get through the following two phases:

• Visa Application in Pakistan, and
• Business Settlement in the UK (Company formation, registration with business authorities etc etc)

Conditions of your stay
This page explains how long you can stay in the UK under Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) of the points-based system, and sets out the conditions of your stay here.
How long can you stay?

If you successfully apply for a visa under Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) from outside the UK, you can come here for a maximum period of 3 years and 4 months. Towards the end of this period, you must apply to extend your stay if you want to continue living here.
If you successfully apply to switch into Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) from another immigration category while you are in the UK, we will give you permission to stay here for a maximum period of 3 years. Towards the end of this period, you must apply to extend your stay if you want to continue living here.
If you successfully apply to extend your stay under Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), we will give you permission to stay for a further 2 years.

What can you do while you are in the UK?
Your permission to stay will be subject to the following conditions:

• you will have no access to public funds, which means that you will not be able to claim most benefits paid by the state;
• you must register with the police if required under paragraph 326 in Part 10 of the Immigration Rules; and
• you cannot take any employment other than working for the business or businesses that you have established, joined or taken over.
